Drawing upon years of experience and a deep-rooted love for the artistry of jewelry making, Nina Raizel Hartman established her boutique studio in the heart of Seattle's bustling Capitol Hill district in 2014. From simple ring resizing to delicate restorations, Nina’s meticulous attention to detail and unparalleled skill have earned her a stellar reputation among clients and peers alike.
Nina’s journey into the world of jewelry began in high school, sparked by her fascination with gemstones and precious metals. She honed her craft through formal education at Pratt Institute and RISD and apprenticeships with master jewelers (Blue Nile, Greenlake Jewelry, Crane Jewelers, Valerie Madison, Micki Lippe). In 2024, she embraced her passion for repair work and started Seattle Jewelry Repair, specializing in restoring fine jewelry.
Today, Seattle Jewelry Repair serves as a haven for jewelry enthusiasts seeking quality repairs and personalized service. Whether it's fixing a cherished family heirloom or breathing new life into a beloved piece, Nina approaches each project with dedication and care, treating every piece as if it were her own.
Beyond her role as a skilled artisan, Nina is deeply committed to supporting her local community. She takes pride in sourcing materials ethically and sustainably, ensuring that her creations are not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious.
In addition to her work in the studio, Nina is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise with others. She regularly hosts workshops and educational events through the Seattle Metals Guild, empowering aspiring jewelers to explore their own creativity and craftsmanship. Nina’s success in a traditionally male-dominated industry is a testament to her dedication and hard work as an entrepreneur and an artisan.
In her free time, Nina enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest on her bicycle, skiing in the mountains, and going to concerts at Neumos. No matter what she’s doing, she finds inspiration in the world around her.
